Sig T-Clips Build
Today I will be starting a build thread for the t-clips which is the newest model sig has introduced. I am going to show you my recommended setup and the specs of what I use.

This is the 9411 that I used for my rudder. Specs: 4.8v- 82oz pf torque. At 6v its 95 oz.
The 821 is what I used for the elevator. Specs: 4
8- 72oz of torque amd at 6v its 88.
The 3421 are the ailerons. Note that the servi bay in wings needed a modification. Specs at 4.8- 65 oz and at 6v its 75 oz.

Alright now to actually building. I had to use 13/16"x3/16" lite ply to make my smaller servo fit into the bay. I glued it in with super thin ca. Next, I used a piece of fuel tubing to guide the servo lead through the wing. (You may use string with a weight or chain, ect.) Then I simply mounted the servo in place. And when you glue the ailerons onto the wing make sure the rounded tip is flush with the wingtip.

This is the rod attachment. Its pretty basic nothing special although sig has included 2-56 rod with the 2-56 nut already on the control rod. To connet rod to servo arm they supply an ez-clip link to hold it on. You can change it if you wish but it's pretty reliable and quick.

Well we are at the landing gear assembly. It is very important to leave a 1/16" gap between the nut and wheel collar. This distance is perfect for the wheelpant to slip on. One thing that I had to do was sand the the cutout in the wheelpant to slip over the nut to bolt on. I didnt take pictures while I mounted the gear to the fuselage but it's easy.

So the attachment of the elevator is pretty simple. Just make sure yoy measure from the wingtip itself and not the ailerons tip, to the stabalizer tip. Make it equal on both sides and glue with epoxy. I used 30 minute but you can use whatever you wish. The gluing of th fin is a little difficult because of the flared piece. You can use a triangle to make sure its 90* but really all you have to do is soght ot from the front of the fuselage and determine if its at a right angle or not. The other picture shows were elevator servo and rudder servo are mounted. You can also insert the rod in the tubes to see where to mount as well.

This is the tailwheel assembly. Its pretty neat how sig did that. It has a clasp that attaches to the rudder and provides a good stearing device.

The final stage. Mounting the esc the way I have pictured is the recommended way. It keeps things away from the sliding tray for the battery. And last but not least, adding the triangle stock that they supply to beef up motor box. Note that for proper cowl fit, the distance from the firewall to the thrustwasher must be 4 1/2". And cooling vent on cowl bottom should be 1" back from the edge and 2 1/2" long for proper cooling. That is the end of our journey my friends. Thank you for taking the time to share your information.
May I suggest replacing your EZ-Clips? I tried them once and didn't have any luck getting a reliable termination. No harm done, I just installed ball links and haven't looked back.

Video of SIG TCLIPS flown today for 1st time. Winds were cross at 75 degree angle and 16 MPH. This plane flys great. Love the way it handles. Power Unlimited batteries really perform solidly.
