Kyosho Corsair ARF ??
I searched through the forums here and did not find any info on the Kyosho Corsair ARF. So, as you are probably already guessing, anybody out there have one of these and put it together/flown it? I've seen 2 other Kyosho ARFs (Cap 232 and Sukhoi) and they look fairly well done plus their owners were satsified with the way they went together. I have been flying bigger models lately but I have a Saito 56 and a Saito 72 that will both need new homes and thought the bent-wing might be a good place for one of them to live.
Thanks in advance,
Dan

Get One!
The kit builds and flys great. I painted mine on the bottom for visibility. Powered by an OS70. Plenty of power. I also installed a larger tank. Only problem areas are the rotating retracts off grass -- land slowly, but not too slowly -- and the fact you have to go home at the end of the day... Send to [email protected] for all the pictures.... --Tony

This is not mine. It is one from the field I fly at. I took pictures of it to put in our club newsletter. The owner is very happy with it and flies the thing every weekend. He did say he had some initial trouble with the retracts and also nosing over on landing. The panel lines look good, but the wing covering colour does not match the fuselage colour.
He is using an older OS .61SF-P which is a pumped engine. Bird looks great in the air, but it just doesn't sound right. A 2-stroke in a warbird doesn't do it for me, sorry!

Thanks for Corsair info
Thank you very much for the photos and info on the Corsair. I think my Saito 72 will now have a place to be. I assume the retracts are Hobbico's which doesn't matter a whole bunch. The fields I fly off are paved so I don't know how much problem I'll have with them. I really like the two tone treatment on the bottom of the fuse and will probably do the same.
Any other comments/suggestions are much appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan

Trips on grass
About every fifth landing, I'd come in a little hot and one wheel would flop in or out, and act like a brake. No big deal, but it's not a tight setup. There are six ball-links altogether, so a little slop is to be expected. I wish I could get a set of Robart folders in there, but I don't think they'd fit. The plane has about 40 flights on it now, and it still looks good. "War Weary", but good. -Tony

The guy flying this at the field I go to also had problems with the retracts. The whell would turn sideways and cause the plane to nose over.
If you look at the second picture I posted you can see a bolt head at the bottom front of the cowl that he installed to stop the cowl getting dinged up.
