RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation
My Twist 40 piled in on Saturday due to the elevator servo arm tab breaking.. I used HS425BB servos with the longer arms. The small plate that the extension sits in has 2 tabs that sheared off.. so essentially it was like a striped servo.. it augered in on the wing and destroyed it..
It was an AWESOME plane though. I had an OS46 on it with an APC 12X4 prop... at points I actually had it climbing in an inverted flat spin...
The landing gear area is extremely weak and needs enforcing... I had an engine failure early on with this plane and a regular "firm" landing like any other plane buckled the 2 piece gear outwards.. no damage was done to the wing. The gear area was reinforced... unfortuneatly on its 2nd flight after that it was over... I also swapped out for a sullivan style tailwheel setup as I read stories about the tailwheel snagging in grass and ripping the rudder out...
I will probably end up with another one of these shortly.. or a tango 40 which I hear is equally as fun...

Hey Twistaholics! Need some help.
Sold my two strokes and going electric.
I'm looking for a good brushless for my Twist 40
How about a C3548 790KV ?
Please help me here, let me know what you are running, I'm trying to get something inexpensive like a Turnigy or equivalent.
Thanks in advance...

That's the spirit Waldo and f shawn68.
With everyone's cooperation, we can very calmly and politely talk about model airplanes. It's what people expect and what they deserve.
Stick to the topic of the thread.
If the post is about the topic, it will remain. If it wanders off, it might or might not be deleted depending on how much worthwhile info it actually contains, and whether or not the moderator has the time. For the most part mods remove posts that are completely off topic. There is a sensible reason. This thread is a perfect example. The large number of posts done recently have no Twist content at all. It's not polite to waste people's time wading through BS, no matter how pleasant the BS.
From this point on, please stick to the Twist.
Yes, of course, everyone can add in personal stuff, but this has gotten way out of hand.
No need to post apologies and such. After all, they'd be off topic, right.
