RE: KMP Cirrus SR 22-G2 ARF
The one I received had the fuse all cracked and broken right at the windshield. It looks like the windshield , once installed, becomes an integral part of the airframe. My guess is the box was dropped on it's end and just "scrunched" it up. No damage was visible on the box. Both wing tips were the same way.
Anyway, to my question. Those of you who have built and flown this model is there any problem with the flap hinges as supplied. Looks like they might just come apart. Did you use them or something else.
Thanks,
Joe

I am not going to use the supplied flap hinges because the ones shipped with my plane are dark gray. I found some clearish white ones on the internet, so they don't stick out against the white wing. However, I can't say the quality is that much better.

I am thinking of getting a cirrus. KMP does not have the instructions to download on there web site. Does anyone have them in a format that they could e-mail me? I would like to look them over before buying.
Thanks

Still have a bit more work to do on this. Our painter just put a fresh coat of clear on the other day. The wings are still not done. The plan is to airbrush the leading edge of the wings peeling off and flames comming out of the exposed leading edges of the wing. The motor, front wheel and speed controller mounts all are bolted thru the fire wall extremely well. Should have no issues with the front nose wheel being weak. There was even enough room to put a spring on the shaft to allow for some suspension travel. Will post more pics once i get the paint finished and get her all wired up.

How are you going to install your windows. Are you going to use the screws as dictated in the instructions, or have you come up with a better method?
Thanks,

Thanks, I was thinking about gluing myself, but have been a bit apprehensive since I am concerned about how much room I'll have to work in the front area once the canopy was in place.
