I would say no.For sure you wouldn't be doing any 3d stuff and I dont think vertical with the 160 would be very good.I think they call for a 180 to 210.Hobby people carrys the Thor gas engine for about 300 bucks. There not a da but a friend of mine has had a couple and likes them.He said it should pull the cap around just fine.I should have my moki back in about a week and if I can't get it to run right I'll check into the thor.Good luck

P.S. This is my second one of these cap's.I lost my first one because of a battery failure.Bought the second one from a buddy who hadn't put it together yet.

I have a moki 2.1 in my Alitalia Cap. It is running a RAM glow ignitor from 1/4 throttle down...it works GREAT! Also, the CG for this plane is 6-1/4" to 7" back from the leading edge. Hope that helps!

I just pulled my moki and I'm going gas.I'm sick of the mess after every flt and also the trouble I was having with my cline. The moki is a power house that's for sure.

Do you have the 80 cap? What are you going to put in it for an engine?

Thats sounds cool. good luck! I have been toying with the idea of a DA-50. I have never used gas before and am a little nervous...but I like the idea of using cheaper gas and no mess! Are gas engines REALLY that different? I really do like the Moki tho...tons of power!

A da-50 would be a little big but yes gas is cool. This will be my first gasser. I talked to a fellow who flew for carden aircraft the other day and he had 1500 flights on his da-150 without one dead stick landing. How's that for reliability!!! I'll let you know how this flor runs.
