Default Hangar 9 35% Extra 260

I completed my Extra and will hopefully maiden it this Sunday, however they are calling for 20mph winds. I know the plane can handle these conditions but something about performing a maiden in 20mph winds doesn't sit well with me. I hope the wind will not be as severe as predicted and if they are I will do the maiden Wed. The engine I have put in this plane is the DA-100 and I could not be happier so far. The first start went something like this, choke, flip, flip flip, engine popped, unchoke, flip, flip and the thing was running smooth as silk. I have run about a quarter tank through it and this motor runs extremely well. (and that is an understatement) I can not wait to get this bird in the air. Build was extremely easy, and the directions are very good.

Here are a couple more pics. The setup is as follows: Engine-DA-100 ailerons and elevator halfs-JR-8611a's, rudder-JR-8711a, throttle-JR-ds821. 2 Fremeco 5200 mah batteries for the RX and 1 Fremeco 2600 mah on the ignition. Also, 2 Fremeco regulators.

Oh yeah, I'm running stock DA mufflers and a Mejzlik 28X10 prop. Break in will be with Lawn boy ashless mixed at 32:1 per the DA manual.

This is an old thread but thought I'd ask a question or two about this plane. I got it airframe only. It had been flown electric so gas tank is gone.
1. What size gas tank was original?
2. Motor: DLE 120
3. I'm thinking 29x9 Falcon CF prop (I'm more of a 3D guy, not so much Imac).
4. Servos
Ailerons - (4) HS-5645mg's (164 oz) kinda slow at 0.18s but that's ok as long as they're strong enough
Rudder - Savox 1270 (360-4... oz)
Elevator - Savox 1270's
Throttle - HS-485HB (90oz)
5. Smartfly Super Reg
6. I'll run one lipo through the regulator, no switches, for the whole dang plane, 2S-5000. I've done this on several 50cc planes (2s-3000) with good success.

Oh ya, I'm gonna smoke it too. ;-)

Thoughts on setup?

My main concern is gas tank size (this is my first 100cc plane) and servo choices. I hate to spend $80/servo when the 5645 ($40/servo) choice may work just fine too.
