RE: WORLD MODELS AT6 TEXAN 72"
Something just occurred to me , the whole engine mount with the anti vibes adds to the nose weight an extra 7oz , so mine is less that weight , but the gasser weighs 36oz , so 26oz for a 91 4st plus 7oz for the mount = 33oz .

Im wondering how it will go too.....probably straight up.....the 16" prop doesnt have a lot of ground clearance , so Im limited to this.....
Does anyone use different wheels , the elcheapo foam ones that come with it develop FLAT spots[:'(]

This one (VQ model) Flew well but didn't land or takeoff as well as our WM AT6. It had many tragic crashes for me and its next owner. With the big 26 you will have the gear rake in your favor to prevent noseovers, but watch out for springy leg porpoise syndrome.

I used silicone adhesive to attach the gear doors plus the screws. Then my buddy "Grandma" points out that Harvards didn't have gear doors. Well, they have stayed put for many flights and I highly reccomend its use.

Just wondering if you guys changed the wheels. I stilll have the foamies on it, but not sure if the retract will pull up a heavier wheel. The servo is the basic Hitec low profile retract.

Yeah it will go on just wanted to sort the plane out first , see how it went , and then make a decision whether to stay with the gas engine or if it didnt work out , change to a 120 4st
waiting for a decent retract servo at this time , what servo is everyone else using ???

RE: WORLD MODELS AT6 TEXAN 72"
Hi,
I'm planning to convert one to electric, around 1100W or 1.47hp.
Does anybody noted that the cowl seems to be more "squary" than the VQ or H9 ones ?
Regards

RE: WORLD MODELS AT6 TEXAN 72"
i have been looking for a nice texan for a while and i think i have found it.i just have 2 questions. 1st whats up with the balance? the rcu review said 1lb 10 oz in the nose with the os 91. the people in this thread maybe a cuople of ounces. maybe a misprint on rcu? 2nd how about a small gasser ? what kind of firewall mods and how cut up is the cowl ? any other help or concerns would be great!
