Lanier ARFs and Kits - Fire Sale at Tower Hobbies
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0872p?&L=LLSS
Tower Hobbies is giving away free hats and deeply discounting a lot of
Lanier products right now.
Some of the highlights are:
-Lanier assembled flight box (unpainted) for $14.99 w/ free hat
-Lanier Razor 3D ARFs for $99.99 w/ free hat
-Lanier Radical 330 profile ARF $69.99 w/ free hat
-Lanier Stinger 40 ARF $79.99 w/ free hat
There are kits large and small as well as ARFs large and small that are
steeply discounted. Lanier just recently introduced a Folker DVII EP and an
SE5a EP that are direct competitors to some new Great Planes Electrifly
ARFs. Tower has them discounted almost 50% at $49.99 each.
Even if you hate Lanier products, how bad can it be to get a field box and a
free hat for 64% off?

I just ordered an Edge 40% kit and an Edge 94" arf. Going broke saving money!! Kit was 399.00 plus 45 shipping minus 25 code made it 425.00 to the door. 375.00 for the arf same math!

Guys
Order your kits from a dealer like (Hobby town) you get to use the tower coupons - $20.00
there is no shipping charge - $ 45.00
Paid $379.00 + tax for the 40% Edge

RE: Lanier ARFs and Kits - Fire Sale at Tower Hobbies
Me and my buddy each got one - I have the DVII and he has the SE5a. The price was just right for a couple of planes we tie up some streamers and get into some old school combat. We are oth faily new to electrics and are having soming issues with the motor mounting set up. We both will use BP 2217/9. The idea of using wood screws right into the fire wall is a bit scary - any help??

I have the D VII and it's a very beautiful plane and fun to fly. DO NOT screw the motor directly into the motor mount unless (1) you reinforce it with epoxy or (2) use machine screws and bolts or (3) blind nuts and screws. The motor mount is quite weak. But, be sure to mount the motor with the shaft in the hole provided or as a guide; otherwise, you will miss the thrust line. If you want more information or photos, just ask.

Just ordered the [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXBNK3&P=ML]Lanier Explorer[/link] from Tower Hobbies. But after reading several posts here on that particular Trainer, I'll be sending it back and get the [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCAS2&P=ML]Tower Trainer[/link] instead.
