*New Hanger 9 Pulse XT 60*
Hanger 9 has just posted the new Pulse XT 60 which is due in early March and is a bigger updated version of the Pulse XT 40. I did not have the smaller version but a good friend at our local field had one and said it was a great flying plane and of good qualtiy. From the size of the plane and the recommended engine size they should have called it the Pulse XT 90. Looks like a pretty good price for this size plane with all the control horns installed and the control surfaces pre-hinged from the factory.

RE: *New Hanger 9 Pulse XT 60*
My little 40 size is on its fourth season and still goes out a few times a week. It was built great and the design is terrific. I've had to build two complete horizontal stabs so far, (one the covering came loose and got fuel soaked, the other I stepped on [X(] ) but other than that it's been great. If this one turns out out be built as well, Horizon will have another best seller!

I have the Pulse 40 and like it very much. If the 60`s as good(can`t imagine why it wouldn`t be) they`ll sell a ton of them. Direct competitors for the Sig 4* 40s and 60s. I think it`d be very interesting to compare sales figures for the Pulses vs. 4*s over a given period of time.

I have the Pulse 40.. it flies good, and is really stable. I wish this were a straight wing aircraft, though.
Either way, I'm thinking about getting the Pulse 60 and sticking an OS 1.20AX on it.. just something to rip around the field with reckless abandon.

Awesome, a great home for a lonely .61FX.
I have a Calmato Sports which is similar
but, this is a taildragger and a little thinner
airfoil. I'm glad to see H9 is listening to
customers looking for TRUE .60 class models!

A friend of mine at our local field called and said he has his on backorder and he's putting an OS .75AX on his. The colors of the plane remind me of my WH Extra 260 which is very visable in the air. Looks like a very nice plane its just not my style or size.

RE: *New Hanger 9 Pulse XT 60*
My PXT40 quickly became one of my faves. And now this... I might just have to trade up to the larger version. I'd love to put a big 4 stroker in it.
I'm surprised some don't like the colors- I love the colors! I'm not a fan of all the planes that look like they flew through a candy store during Mardi Gras.
To each their own I guess. Maybe H9 will have different colors available on the Pulses in the future.
I wonder how the little Zenoah gas G20ei would fit on the Pulse 60?

I think the colors are ok.. it's definitely a love it or hate it scheme any time you throw yellow and red together. Black breaks them up a little but. Red and black = sweet, yellow and black = sweet.
I think a really nice color scheme would be Green + Silver + White + Black. Now who can hate that [8D]

If I get this one instead of the pulse 40, I think I will recover it in the mini pulse scheme. How hard would it be to do? The manual shows the hinges already installed. Are they hard to remove so I can recover it? No need to recover a great color scheme if I stick with the 40 size [sm=thumbs_up.gif]

And actually I flew it around really quick this weekend just to make sure whoever buys it is getting a plane in perfect working order so I'd have peace of mind after the sale, and I have all but changed my mind with regard to keeping it. I want to put a .55AX on it now and a 12x8 prop.. it would haul butt.

I have a 75AX that I think will go on a Pulse 60.

RE: *New Hanger 9 Pulse XT 60*
Comparing the HP ratings of the recommended engines seems to indicate that if a 75 2S is ok then a 120 4S should also be ok or more closely comparable to the 75 2S as compard to the 90 4S. I do recognize that the 120 4S will add some additional weight. I have the Pulse XT 40 size and have been flying it with an OS 46 AX which was a very good choice. My 40 Pulse is an excellent quality product and flies very similar to the GP Super Sportster. The 60 Pulse may just be the ticket for those of us that enjoyed the 60 sized Super Sportster. I also really apprciate the hatch for access to the fuel tank area and behind the firewall - it is as good an addition as was electric windows and air conditioning. I was looking at the GP Skylark 70 but this new 60 Pulse has won the day in that contest.
Any thoughts or comments on the 120 4S for the 60 sized Pulse would be welcomed.
Howard
