The DC-10 in the pics is very nice, do you have any more info on it? type of propulsion turbine or EDF? Is it from a kit? Size?
    Thanks

It is an EDF. Lenght was at least 10ft. Maybe more. The pic doesn't come close to showing how big it is. The platform its sitting on was probaby 20ft across if that helps you realize how big it is. I didnt keep track of info on planes mostly, just to much work.

Yep, thanks for the photos too. I have been unable to find what was new there from any websites. You have the best collection of photos I have seen yet from Toledo. What lens are you using with that D50?

Nothing fancy, its just the Nikkor 18-55 3.5-5.6G ED kit lens. Extremely happy with it for just being a kit lens.

    Tommy,

The F-16 is Graeme Mears 1/5 scale. It's his TopGun team entry piloted by Dave Shulman. It is HUGE. I talked to Graeme for about a half hour on Saturday about it. Just the Gear was $5k. It's stunning to say the least. As of Saturday it hadn't flown yet. According to Graeme it was still being worked on Thursday night. He was standing "at the ready" with his Swifter duster and his spray polish.

Grame is a master builder, I cannot wait to see it in person, he is meticulous in recreating an exact rendition of the original. He is a super nice fellow as well. He and Shulman make a good pair, sort of like a really small quiet dog running with a big ole sheep dog....haha.
Dan thanks for the info on the airliner, it looks great, wish I could have seen it in person.

Among all the models on static display DC10 and Tu-95 are the best in my opinion, does anyone know who they belong to and some specs on both will be appreciated if possible. I really liked the way brushed aluminum finish is on Tu95!.

    Hi,
The Tu-95 is my build. It's covered with "Flite-Metal". The plane is electric and will be flying on contra-rotating 12 inch custom props. It took 4 1/2 years to build, 1:18.5 scale, WS 108 inches, AUW 32lb, Futaba 14MZ 2.4 guidance and powered with MaxCim motors on 5s Lipo packs per motor. The plan is to fly her this year at the NATS in Team Scale. Thanks for the kind words.

It was Sunday they let us go in several minutes before they were to open at 9. Some people weren't even at their table yet, but the show to me wasn't nearly as crowded as it been the past several years. As you said it is usually packed but not this year. It was good for us, but I'm sure the vendors didn't like it to much.

    Hi,
I went Friday and sunday. Friday was packed, you had to work to move around with any speed if you wanted to get some where quick. I had a great time friday even with the number of people. I parked 4 block away, if there was a closer spot I missed it, and I got there at 9am.
