Default Vmar Bulldog.

Currently shopping around for my 2nd plane (3rd if you count the trainer which "landed heavily" after another club member turned on their radio with the same channel as me.....)

I´m come accross the vmar SA bulldog, and its caught my eye for a few reasons,
Its scottish (like me).
Its a little rarer than the run-of-the mill models.
price and size seem right.
I preffer scale aircraft to general sports/acrobatics.

BUT

I´ve never owned anything from VMAR (back home I flew gliders for 5 years) and I live in spain so cant get hands on anything to see.

SO..
does anyone have one or anything from VMAR and how do you find it/them?

thanks.

Wow! That is one good looking airplane! [sm=thumbup.gif]

The VMAR distributor for the USA does not even show it!

I think you have your answer.

Specifically, Richmond doesn't even list it, and nobody's seen one. That means it will be months before any flight tests are published, probably even the manufacturer's.

Good luck,

Well mine has arrived, so here are the "out of the box" photos...

Initial thoughts are that it is definately SEMI scale, but I bought it with the intention of scalling it up more!
eg pilot overals to be green (my LOVELY woman volanteered to make him new clothes!!!) spinner should be a dual white/black and is red, wheels not correct etc etc

HOWEVER as an out of the box semi scale, its quite nice!
Definately feels lest robust than my trainer, but thats to be expected.

Dont you just love "da bling" belt buckle the pilot has, studded sequens arent my thing, but the RAF is equal opportunities now heehheheh

Also note in the 2nd pic of the coweling, there has been some red overspray for me to fix...

all in all, it was a £75 plane and such thigns are expected but Id say I got a lot for my £75
(saying it was cheaper than my trainer!!)

Did it come with the pilots feet sticking out of the floorboard?

It is a nice looking plane. What are you going to use for power?

I USED.. note USED an os55ax...

it crashed on maiden..
the young engine stopped while on finals for landing... and the plane nosed into the orange trees at the head of the runway...

so this plane is no more.

Taildragger76,

Interesting plane, just checked out the www.sabulldogsusa.com site. I fly also, and we have a Bulldog around here. This would make a nice 60/120 size ARF.
