RE: New KMP PC-21
Gents,
There doesn't seem to be a lot of flying reports on the KMP PC-21. I can report I have just completed mine and had two great flights. The model is set up with recomended C of G (125mm) and control throws, a bit of aileron differential and still playing with a small amount of expo. Fitted with a DL 30, JTEC pitts muffler, sullivan skywritter smoke pump and Hitec 5645MG servos. The DL 30 swings a 16 x 10 Beila 3 Blade at 7,800 rpm with only three tanks through it and has ample power. 14oz of fuel in the nose wheel well and l used the supplied tank as a smoke tank.
Only issue is, you must lubricate the wheel axles or the wheels will simply bind up.
300 grams in the nose to balance.
If I can work out how to do it, I'll post some photo's.
Thanks
Rowdy

Glad to hear it went well. I've started wondering why no one has come out with wheels with little bearings in the hubs for planes around 15 lbs and heavier. I suppose some planes would never stop rolling after touch down if the wheels spun too freely. Anyway, nice photos. We always love to see videos.
Take care.

nice writeup Rowdy. She looks the part. Glad to hear engine reports such as yours. The DLE30 looks like it works fine for this bird. I am still on the fence over an engine. The new MT35 looks attractive. Rear carb so I dont have to hack the cowl

Great Photos Rowdy1... Your PC-21 looks great!
I think the reason you haven't heard very many flight reports is that the weather isn't quite right yet. I am in Germany, and we are getting forecasts of snow on occasion. Over here the flying season does not really kick in until late April-May. With that said, I am still in the process of assembling my Pc-21. Tell me about the DL-30. Is 30cc enough for this plane? What is the total weight of your aircraft? Like some of the others, I was also debatin on the type of engine to mount. Since it is really a beautiful airplane, I really did not want butcher the cowling; so I went with a ZDZ 40 RVRE. However, I just received my Syssa 180HP, and was wondering if it will be enough to fly her with authority? Please let me know... upload a video if you could. Thanks Ken

Rowdy1,
Your PC-21 looks great! I was wondering if you had any more pics of your dl-30 engine mounted on the airplane? I would like to see how well it fit, how much you had to cut, and the general appearance. What muffler did you use?

Nice work argyris, looks like you've spent a lot of time detailing, it looks amazing. The struts you've used look great, what make are they ?, it looks like your wheels have brakes also ?.

RE: New KMP PC-21
hi all, just starting to put mine together, can anybody tell me if the large hole in the bulkhead is the centreline of the engine please? I tried the lines on the bulkhead but this is too high, thanks in advance, bb.

Has anyone removed their PC21 from the box to find that the factory paint job has dark patches all through it ?, and been applied so heavily it's orange peeled and sagged in places ?.

RE: New KMP PC-21
Hi just purchased mine in VQ Warbirds, and i am expecting it to arrive next week.
I liked the scale cockpit, do yuo have the plans to build it? Or do you know where can i purchase it? Do you think that electric power will make a more realistic sound?
I saw somewhere one person that installed a Wren 44 turboprop in this airframe, does anyone haves that link or video?
Thanks.
