If using gas, then a small very lightweight 30CC-40CC would fly it fast. The best fitting solution, because of the narrow cowl would be a 1.80 glow or a very expensive electric conversion set up.

I think I'll take the 1.80 route, what do you think about the Saito 220 or even better the Saito FG36? are they big for the cowl?.

This is great news!! I've been expecting this kit for some time now.
I have a 150 4-cycle Saito that I would like to use for this plane, but I would hate the plane to be underpowered. Any comments/suggestions would be deeply appreciated.

Andrew,
Is the PC-21 all composite, or does it have a built up wing.
Looks very impressive.

I am pretty certain she will fly nicely on a 10S EP set up, no need for very expensive motors, bet something like the DualSky 6360 motor, 90A ESC and a 10S battery set up will suffice for a 15 lbs plane. Should keep the cowling nice and scale.

The 1.80 is plenty of power. The plane is built good enough to take the 2.20 but its serious overkill I think.
