Default OS 1.60 FX needs new home

Due to the recent re-kitting of my CMP AT-6 Texan 160 [&o], I need to find another plane for my OS 1.60 FX with Pitts muffler. I prefer a warbird, WWI or WWII, or maybe some type of biplane. It's got to be an ARF...I don't have the time or the skill level to complete a kit. I'd love to hear any suggestions you might have.

That's the recommended engine for the Top Flite Beech Staggerwing, which covers the biplane issue and, if you want to refinish it, the warbird issue as well (The Top Flite Stag is a G-17; all the military Stags were D-17s, but most won't know the difference! LOL And even ifsome people do notice, it's your bird, right?)
Neither the Pacific Aeromodel Clipped wing Monocoupe nor the RC Guys Super Decathelon meet your biplane/warbird criteria, but that OS is just about perfect for either.
Good luck!

KMP has a whole range of airplanes that should work with your 1.60. I really like the P-47 myself, and the Mustang is nice, and the Bearcat is cool, and...

Thanks guys. I wasn't aware of Pacific Aeromodels or KMP. Although not what I originally was looking for, the Monocoupe is worth considering too. Thanks again.

I would recommend the world models mustang GS. I fly mine with a super tiger 2300 and it flies very well with this engine, which is 1.4 cubic inches, .2 less than your 1.60.

Hi Scott,
Why not try the CMPro Giles, I had one and it went like a rocket realy nice and smooth, or even the Sig Cap 231 EX ARF.

Scott I am flying the Texan you had, flys very well and can nearly fly most of the pattern manouvers on it but its pretty difficult to land softly. I also attatched a split flap on the centre pannel and World Model retracts its a little better in approaches than the ones without the flap.
Try out a World Models 80 inch Zero its a good solid flyer with much improved landing characterstics.
