RE: KMP Pilatus PC-21 Build
Hi Snobird - I ordered mine a few weeks before they received thier first shipment. This is a new model for KMP so I bet the sold out quickly and the next shipment will not be in until Feb.

RE: KMP Pilatus PC-21 Build
I took some time today to work on fiting the 40GX engine. Turns out I need to get a smaller incowl inverted mufler to make it work. I found a nice 3"x3"x1" in cowl from JTEC RC. I want to minimize cutting of the cowl as much as possible and still get the extra performance from the larger engine. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will balance pretty well with the heavier engine as I am also adding an extra servo in the tail for the elevators.

I would call Chief first. I have ordered two planes from Chief when there web page said they had them in stock only to receive a E-Mail from them telling me that it is out of stock or discontinued.

RE: KMP Pilatus PC-21 Build
[8D] was able to fabricate two sets of H.U.D.s for the cockpit - I used cd jewl case that had a slight green-yellow tint.
2 small squars for each and trimed the corners as to give it the shape of the real huds,& then wet sanded the eges . made the frames out of thin black plastic. they look sweet

RE: KMP Pilatus PC-21 Build
I croped and scaled the image of the cockpit display so that it will fit. It needs just a bit more triming after printing to fit, but should look sweet. I will print on white Testors decal paper and apply to a thin piece of acrylic and clue in place. I will be modifying the arm rest area and makign a scale stick later this week.
Here is a copy of the image. PM me and I will send you the file if needed.

RE: KMP Pilatus PC-21 Build
Hi,
I am thinking of making a larger PC-21 and I would appreciate help as to whether:
1. your kits have any negative incidence on the elevator stab (leading edge pointing downwards) if so how much?
2. what the engine incidence was (if any) on your aircraft and whether this has any starboard side thrust too
3. and what the wing incidence was
I am mentioning this because the scale drawings which I got provides a bit of head scratching since the engine has 4 degrees negative incidence and 3.5 degrees side thrust. The elevator stab was 1.5 degress negative too. Wing incidence I calculated as being 2.5 degrees positive. Wonder what your planes have.
Any help will be appreciated .
With thanks
Reuben

WHAT a bird! Always loved the PC-9's and was recently
introduced to the full scale "21" at a recent airshow...WOW!!!![X(]
1600shp continuous!!! That's 600 more than the PC-12NG!
6000FPM climb!!! Oh yeah, and the full scale will
knife like an Extra, only a lot faster! Now that's fun![8D]
Is it too late to join the Air Force? I'm only 39....
Sergio T...are you still going with a Moki 1.80?
That sound is waaay cooler than a 4S for a turboprop IMO.[8D]
Definitely need something with some RPM to re-create
the tip shock from the prop, like the real thing. Please
keep us posted, that will be a very cool setup!
