Funtana 90 engine?
Has anyone used a CRRC 26i or similar engine on a Funtana 90 s for 3D. I have a OS 120 pumped I could use, but I would like the price of gasoline better. I also have a Zenoah g38 but I think it is WWWWWay too heavy.
Would any 26i gasser has enough for 3D in this plane?

Ouch, that would be very heavy for the Funtana s90.
The s90 was designed with a four stroke .90 in mind.
At best your 1.20 would be perfect for it while keeping it light.
The Funtana is NOT in any way built for speed. It is essential to keep the flight speed down or it will flutter and self destruct on you.
It is meant to be a slow but powerful 3D flyer.
I have no problems flying it with a Saito 1.00 using a 16x4W prop. This keeps things light and gives the Funtana good vertical pull.
Your 1.20 would do well.

RE: Funtana 90 engine?
The F90 would take the 26cc engine (don't forget to beef the firewall up and hack your cowling), I seen it with an OS160 but its really heavy. It will defeat the purpose the plane was built for with the 26cc. For me, the YS110 is sweet. I think the Saito 125 will be a good match but the OS120 should be fine. Best match is the YS140, why? With a bigger prop you get more wash and the rudder authority is much better when prop hanging.
