Default Lancair Legacy CG (richmodels) tail heavy

OK guys who has a Richmodels Lancair Legacy? 65 4-stoke recomended

I put an OS .91 Surpass in the nose. altered motor box to do so.
Standard 4-cell Rx battery next to fuel tank and up to the fire wall.

the book puts the CG at 68 (2.68") mm back from the LE
I have come out tail heavy![:@]

first correction AKA adding weight! []

Next the aluminum safety prop nut removed and a 2.25" dubro spinner and inside is a brass spinner nut holding the prop up tight. Still have a wood 13x8 prop dont care to carve the spinner to fit an APC prop.

CG is about 70 mm

Took an old meter stick ( yard stick plus 3.4"). Scale the Root and tip length.

Grabbed my trusty calculator and found I am at 30% MAC.
Ran the numbers for 28% MAC and got very close to 68MM.
When Sping really gets here It's maiden is going off at 70mm Dry.

Note the Stabs are glued in place with the supplied steel rods.

conclusion:

To save wight in the tail Hard brass tubing or carbonfibre tubes should be used.

I know this is a very old thread, but I'm in the exact situation. I did use carbon tube right off the bat and I haven't installed my 2500 2 cell A123 battery yet, but can tell its going to be tail heavy.

I'm also a pound overweight now. I'm also using a FS-91.
Anyway, I'm just wondering how it flew.
