John, I generally save those when my planes go in, but they aren't marked. If you'll post the size, I'd be happy to check. If I have one it's yours.

Sorry to hear about your trailer. Hope they catch the spineless *******s. -Al

.867 od x .76 id x .05 wall x 31.5" long

Is that close enough?

It looks to be in good shape. I don't see any damage, but the plane did go in on KE.

Sorry, only had 1 Funtana

How the heck would I ship this to you?

Not sure on how to ship except in a cardboard tube. I will be more than happy to pay for shipping plus your asking price. Let me know. 580-588-2456 or John C. Brown, 15007 County Road 1450, Apache, Oklahoma 73006. Let me know.

John, It's yours for whatever it cost to ship it. I'll just need to track something down to put it in that won't cost a fortune to ship. Will get back with you when I find something/get a price on shipping. Are we in a hurry? -Al

Can understand why Horizon doesn't offer this plane anymore. Love the last red, white and black scheme. Seems like with some fuse mods, it would be great in a 50 cc version.

S&S, the reason I didn't replace my first one, isn't because i didn't love the way it flew. It was out of protest regarding the fantastic graphics on the plane that were absolutely notorious for fading in the sunlight. Some of the white parts turned yellow. Some stayed white. Despite dozens of well documented complaints, Horizon didn't think enough of the problem to lift a finger regarding it. So though one was it for me, it was great flying, sturdy, and was incredibly light weight. Way ahead of it's time that way - which is just now being duplicated! Mine was 10.5lbs all up with a DLE30 and a full compliment of 150oz metal gear servos.

John - I'll stop by the local Office Max in the next few days to pick up a mailing tube. Have some other errands to run as well. Will send USPS and holler then with what it cost me. PayPal is fine... -Al

I hear you AHicks and can't believe the general acceptance in this hobby for defective arfs. If you read the build thread for the new 50cc bi-plane they are offering, you know there are still issues with the brand. Though, the new 300x is looking good. Unfortunately, my experience with other vendors is not much better. If I bought any other products (appliances, tools, cars etc) with the number of defects I have regularly seen in arfs, they would be sent back in a heartbeat. Unfortunately , return shipping costs make it more likely fixes will be born by the purchaser. This issue really leaves me scratching my head. As a business owner, I am confounded by the lack of ownership of this issue by the vendors.

Hats off to you for offering to give a stranger a carbon tube. Very impressed.

Sucks to hear about John's misfortune. Just paying a previous favor forward really, and glad to do it. I needed something, forget what it was, for a 70" Revolver (canopy maybe?). Whatever it was, it was on back order. On a whim, I posted a need for the part, and had it within just a few days - at no charge. Stuff like that not easily forgotten....

I don't feel like John is a TOTAL stranger. He started flying his Funtanas about the same time I did mine, and swapped a lot of notes with others and myself at the time. Much like the closeness that developed in the Giant Sportster group. -Al
