Are you kidding? Horizon Hobby has put off the release until Mid Aug. Bummer. I have had one on order since early July.

It's taking forever to get here. Just keeps getting pushed back and the flying season just keeps getting shorter.

Has anyone contacted Horizon Hobby as to when in mid August it will arrive. Better yet, what year? I really think it is bad business to advertise a product before it is available. I know that mine was pre-ordered via LHS right after the add came out on the back cover of Model Aviation Mag dated July 2009. That ad had to be to the publisher at least a month before that. Guess I will just have to wait or get another aircraft from a different company. May try Tower Hobbies.

I've had one on back order since late June and Horizon continues to slip the arrival date. Their Business Development needs to review how they look at releasing a new product because what they are doing now is unacceptable. The flying season will be gone before it is shipped to the users.

Regards,
Chuck

I've had one on back order since late May,from LHS and he can not get a answer when it will be shipped. And the flying season will be gone before you know it here in New York.

Everyone is in the same boat with Chinese ARF shipments.

I had a chance to look at the Funtana 125 at the Toledo show.

It is the SAME size as the older Funtana 100X, but uses a different airfoil.

It uses the same landing gear as the 100X/Showtime.

The interior construction seems to be almost identical to prior models, as is the cowl and canopy.

The biggest difference is with the wings and covering.

The new covering looks great, but as with most painted schemes, repairs will be a PITA.

I e-mailed Horizon and asked when the Funtana will be available, but I received the generic answer. Apparently, they are aware of the delay and are working to make the plane available as soon as possible. Haha. While I'm not really happy with the answer, I guess I'm just glad I got a response. Horizon has a good rep. so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be able to fly one before winter.

It has been put off again. Now Horizon Hobbies is saying early Sept. Ha, Ha. Bet they put it off again after that. NOT GOOD BUSINESS to advertise an item for three months and it is not available.

I have had the Funtana S 90, which I lost in a virtical snap when the battery came loose. Now flying my Funtana X 100. Both the S90 and X100 have/had Saito 1.25's. Love that engine. I now have a Saito 1.25 and a Saito 1.00 on the bench waiting for 2 funtana 125. The most I would go with is a 150 engine.

I'm thinking I'm going to put my saito 1.00 in my new Funtana that I don't know if I'll ever see this year?

The Saito 1.00 will be ok, but much vertical. I have been using a 16x4w prop on the Saito 1.25. Try a 15x6 or 15x8 prop with the 100. It will fly really nice but not have the power needed for wild 3-D flying.

Also, watch your flying speed. These Funtana's are not supper fast flying models. Throttle management is a must.

I have a ShowTime .90 that's has a Saito 1.00 and 16X4W prop on it, It's really nice but now Horizon stop making the ShowTime .90 now. The Funtana is a bit bigger I think I need a new Saito 1.25 !

re:It uses the same landing gear as the 100X/Showtime.

not true...
the showtime 90 gear is not the same as the x100, showtime 90 is much beefer and heavier, the x100 is thin, light and fragile, the showtime 90 landing gear can take abuse x100 cannot.

I use an OS 120AX in my X100, unlimited vertical and hovering...

I have both a YS 110 and OS 120 AX and the 120 AX out performs the YS in power, pull, etc.

Can't build something that you don't have........now early Sept before Horizon Hobbies will put it off again. Might get it in time for next summer flying season, if I/you don't get something else to fly.

it wont be... it has 20% less power than the glow version... I asked a question bout this engine a while back... it will fly it but will not give it full capability...
