NEW Seagull Dewoitine ARF ?
Guys,
i just saw this bird ...
IMO it looks brilliant!
Where can we find more info on the bird?
And,
the question that sums everything is : "WILL IT FLY?"
I've never had a Seagull model!
Pic follows next,
Kostas

Hey kostas , if it's anything like the GeeBee Z you'll be happy with the quality , it would be one of the best ARF
as far as quality and precision goes, that I've put together every thing fits as it should and is where they say it'll be !!.
cheers Steffan.

You may be right,
but also,
if i'm going to buy this ARF,i will order it from the UK.
If my LHS decides to import some of them, they will do after several months and for crazy EUROS.
So only UK for me.
Seagull has a website?

RE: NEW Seagull Dewoitine ARF ?
I've been after the PC-9 120 with the Dewoitine a close 2nd thought.
Both planes are available in the UK however shipping is very expensive, to the point where its almost prohibitive unless you have money to burn.
I've spoken to Horizon and they told me that they plan on bringing in these planes in early spring 2010.
My friends and I both fly Seagull models and they are great ARF's. Some areas on a couple of their planes 40 sized PC-9 and Decathlon could be beefed up from my experience but it certainly is not necessary or critical to success.
You cannot beat the price of Seagull and the quality is on par with Hangar 9 in my opinion.
I'll be watching Horizon closely, Im chomping at the bit for the 120 sized PC-9

That's good ,
that they will stock these ARF's in the US.
I live in Greece so ordering from the UK ,where these ARF's are ready to be shipped, is not so expensive.
As for the Dewoitine ,
when i look at it's shape/size i think it will be challenging when landing.
On the other hand the PC-9 120
looks d@mn awsome but i feel that may the retracts be of low quality.....and really i don't want to spend 200$ for retracts!

OK, the specifications are:
71" wingspan
10-11 pounds (it's by Seagull so it'll probably be 11 at least)
Seagull says: 1.2 two-stroke or 1.2-1.25 four-stroke.

I have the Seagull 40 sized PC-9. I put an OS 55AX in it and 12 x 6 APC prop. It really performs with this combination.
Fantastic little plane and always gets lots of attention and compliments at the field.
By far my favorite plane to fly, does aerobatics or goes fast. What ever mood your in, it wont disappoint.
Have fun

When you are writing your reply,
on the right-down side of the writing field there is an option reading : " Click here to upload images and files! "
Press it and then it's easy!

Thank's Dave for the picture!
Looks really nice but do you have any closeups?
Also,
do you know the capacity of the fuel tank?
Is there any room to fit a bigger one/like a 12oz?

As you've obviously found that, this is included for others who don't know the process.

RE: NEW Seagull Dewoitine ARF ?
Been a while since any posts in this thread but Horizon will soon have Dewoitines in stock. I flew one at SEFF with a Power 110 on 8S and had a blast with it, is a very nice flying model. Planning to convert to gas (Saito FG-20) and fly some more this season.
