Did the maiden flight yesterday and she fly like a dream and she lands good.

Maiden Flight. I had Bucky from R/C hobby Shop take her off and I took control after 3 min.
My landing was ok. I had problem landing my P-51 too.

Speedfresh did the second flight. He ask if he could and I took control after 4 min.

Im still trying to post you a pic of my exhaust. I was a diesel mechanic myself. We wired alot diesel injection pumps together on Dozers. If not. Plates would come lose. Dumping fuel all over the place. And we also would know if someone tampered with something on the pump as well!! Wire works very well. I myself try not to use loctite on any exhaust bolt. I have found it to really rip threads up. I have actually had to helicoil a few cylinders due to it. Just use the silicon and wire your bolts. Never come lose again. Unless you want it to....

Nothing to do with the Revolver, but I was a helicopter pilot for 40 years, both Military and Civilian. Every bolt on a helicopter and airplane are held by safety wire. or a positive lock system. Non flight related they will use lock nuts, but anything moving was safetied with wire. (Bolts and nuts came pre drilled.)

Silly question in some ways, but any tips on drilling these holes.

Drill press would make it easiest. Without that, put the bolt in a vise and have patience. You only need to drill through one side of the head if you're having a hard time?

Lockwiring is used extensively in aviation. When my exhaust came loose it damaged one of the bolt hole so I had to install a Helicoil. I have refitted the exhaust with Loctite and used permatex copper gasket silicon. It is difficult to recheck the torque on the bolts with the cowl on. I will hopefully get some more flight in on the Revolver next week. If the exhaust works loose again I will use longer bolts with spacers and lockwire the heads has mentioned earlier.

All I do is lightly clamp the bolts in a vise. Get a good quality 1/6'' drill bit. and drill it out. straight threw the bolt! I usually hit the center of the head.

I have an ultrilight helicopter. and yes the bolts are all AN aircraft grade type! I use the wiring lock system. On most stuff on it. if it isn't wired it has cotter pin locks with castle nuts! I also use yellow paint marker on everything with a nut or bolt. Its makes the visual inspection much easer.

I took my plane out yesterday. Landing this plane is easy now.

80z fuel tank?

I think it a over kill. My 16oz can last for about 1 hour.

I had the ailerons servo wing mount come loose on my flight. The servo wire was holding the servo inside the wing.
We used thin CA to glue the servo mount back to the wing.

Yup!! I love my revolver. It has to be the best pattern plane I have ever flown. Over 100s flights on it now. And still rocken. I hope great planes do not discontinue this model!! This is a hit. Im powering mine with a super tigre G-90. With a Pitts muffler. Believe it or not. Its turning a 15x8 apc prop. I have never had to replace the prop yet. It screams really good. Bowen piston ring. And BOCA bearings. I will post a few videos on y tube. People have told me that the prop was out of range. No way. Runs and performs well. Good luck with your plane's. And if it crashes the you crashed it. Not meaning that comment in a bad way. Its just a very predictable plane.

I think he is running a 8 oz tank, which is great for saving weight unless you like to fly for a long time each flight. I only fly for about 5-6 minutes on most occasions. If I remember right, I used a 8oz tank and could fly for 10 min and have plenty in reserve.

Thanks mach2, it is an 8 oz tank. For my flying needs it provides plenty of flight time.

Nice pictures.

When I come in for a landing. I cut power till about 5 feet from the ground. Add about 10-20% power (just enough power to keep her moving) and she settled in nicely.

Thank you. Its an awesome flying plane no doubt. That was a very windy day. I have so many more videos of that plane flying. That super tigre 90 does really good. It has a Bowen piston ring and BOCA bearings in it! Can you believe that thing turns up a 15x8 prop like that? Everyone said it was to big for that engine. But as you can see it does just fine. Thanks again. Happy landings.
