Black Horse Models Ryan 120 ARF
Has anyone picked up one of these yet? I was wondering if there is a build thread started anywhere, can't seem to find much info about the kit.[sm=50_50.gif]

Here is a link http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/159572.asp Has anyone seen one yet? I have always liked the looks of the Ryan, too bad GP discontinued them. But this does look too pretty to pass up![sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

If I didn't have a GP Ryan, I would be jumping on this one. I have a couple of BH arfs, and they are pretty well made. I'd be looking at about a 40cc on it, myself.

Hi all,
Just seen this thread...I have recently received this kit and will put a Saito FG30 into it. If you are still interested let me know and I will document what I have done. However, it has not been 'plain sailing' from what I have completed so far.
Cheers

Hi profmb
Yes, would definitely love to see some pics of the build. I picked up one of these when they first came out. Kit looks very nice but I haven't started the build yet. As usual the directions are lacking. One thing I am wondering is are you gluing the wing halves together or just bolting the two halves to the fuselage?Just for ease of transporting I'd like to keep it as 2 separate halves. I plan on putting a CRRC 26 with a pitts muffler on it. I started this thread awhile back, nice to see some feed back. Let's see some pics!! Would also like to know why the build isn't going so smoothly. Thanks

Hi steelersrule!
How is your build going? Would love to get more info before I start my build. First large scale gas, I can use all the advice you guys can offer on this plane.

I too would love some pictures and info. Looking at getting one to fly with ian51291, but never built anything so big. It claims to be around 6kg built, and I would love to know if it could be built under 7kg as that is the limit before I need to pass another test (B certificate). I was looking at putting a CRRC 26cc petrol in it. I still haven't seen anyone actually with stock yet, everyone just taking pre-orders.
