Hey Tom, I wasn't aware of this event. Where is the event taking place?

Great news. Got to re maiden the Sboch today. Everything went well. It flies great. We got to tune it for the way my son likes to fly it. He proclaimed that it's ready to go to Fly for Tots. We'll be there on Friday and Saturday. Thursday and Sunday are travel days.
Anyone there, come by and say hi and introduce yourself. We will have the Covered Wagon Trailer there. You'll know when you see it. We'll also have some PAU planes there and the Redwing Sboch.

Looks like the old "Covered Wagon" fits a whole bunch of large planes very comfortably. Please bring me some photos for the web site. Good luck and be safe.....RAF

Testament to how strong my Redwing Sbach 30cc is. I was out flying and ran out of fuel. Texas has seen record dry weather this year and the soil is hard. The grass is very parse and thin. I was downwind and did not make the turn around.
You can see in the sequence of pictures that the plane hit at about 30-40 degree angle. Besides the broken prop, not a busted stick anywhere. I could not believe it. Please also note that I had replaced the alum gear with a Tetherite gear, which is very springy and can take impact well.
Thank you very much Mr. James Lemon. James is one of our club officers. He has a super duper photo lens and a SLR Canon camera - not mentioning his ability to shoot.

It will be a winter build. I'll do a build thread on it. I know most of you guys already know how to put one together but it will be a great place to keep in touch. Hope you guys tune in. I'll post a link here when I start.

RE: Redwing 30cc Sbach Build
What a great morning. It's Cold, Wet and miserable out. So I go and drink some Coffee and catch up on some of the old threads I haven't looked at for a while. I go on the Redwing Web Site and guess what I found. An "SBOCH 300" This is not good. I have to replace the Sboch with an Sboch.
I told Tim if he ever gets a 300 I will get one. I already emailed him and told Tim I wanted a blue one.

Audi Murf
The stabs ARE removable on all the Redwing 30cc and up planes.
The GW tails are NOT removable and never have been. We offer some GW currently.
Again, ALL the "Redwing" models 30cc and up DO have removable stabs

All:
This thread has gone quiet. Tserez I read the whole thread and never did hear what the verdict was on your radio issue. Also the guy who put smoke in his plane never did repost the outcome. Still a lot of unanswered questions.
I am about to build the orange version with a DLE-35RA with a Black Xoar Sword and painted spinner. Also the Miracle switch is going to be black. I have to go for the bling.
