Seagull Ultimate

Does anyone have experience flying a Seagull Ultimate ARF? If so, what size engine do you find this bird requires to fly well? I picked one up in a buyout and it has a Saito 100 in it, but just looking at the plane, I'm guessing that is not quite enough engine for that plane. Anyone know for sure?

which size ultimate? the 46 calls for a 72-82 four stroke, the 90 calls for 91-125 four stroke

I had a Saito 1.25 in one. It is a good choice for "sport" type flying. The guy I sold it too put a GMS 1.20 two stroke in it. It is an improvement for sure. Mine was always heavy though compared to the GB of the same size. So even the extra power of the 1.20 does not make it great. IMHO It is however a great looking plane and it tracks well. Move the CG back a little at a time till it wants to wobble a little after and aileron roll, then go back forward about 3/8". There is a sweet spot there.

Just got my Saito 150 back from Horizon. That is my first choice with a gasser bringing up the rear. I feed the "150" should be more than enough. Joe

Even though you guys haven't said so in so many words, I have the feeling that you agree that 100 is not enough engine for this plane. I think I'll put a 1.20 in it before I fly it.
