RE: *New H9 Frenzy-100 ARF*

Just picked up a used frenzy with a Evo 100 in it. It flys well not enough to hover it but it sounds over Propped. I have a couple ordered and hopefully they will be in soon. The Evo needs some tuning as if idled for to long in say a flat spin you punch it and it just smokes and no rpm. The Evo is on it's 3rd tank after sitting for 4 years so i am going to give it another cleaning while it's in the shop. Might try a os 108 I have on the shelf if the Evo won't hover it. Then I have to build some bigger skis, I thing this will be a fun all year flyer.

What's the limit on 4 strokes for this airframe? Would a 1.8 be to much?

Jake Ruddy did a review on this airplane previously. He used a Saito 125A 4-stroke. I did the same with my Frenzy and fly it about half throttle most of the time. It is quite adequate and just cruises along. Will pull out of hover very easily.

lbs Mine with a Saito only came in 7 lbs 2oz. but never did fly it on glow. I ended up going electric and it does fly great.
