Seagull Decathlon with 70.9" wing good or bad
Does anyone have the Decathlon 75-91 by Seagull? I'm thinking about getting one and would like to know what you think about it. I have a Saito 100 to use on it.
Thanks, |

Depends on what you're looking for? If you wanted a little rocket ship with high wing loading the smaller one might work out OK for you. Just finished up and maidened a 1.20 sized Decathlon with a 20cc RCGF in it recently. Awesome, but I'm not sure I would want the 20 in anything smaller. It's not that it's overpowered so much as it's starting to get heavy for it's size?

RE: Seagull Decathlon with 70.9
I have this plane. power from a NGH 17cc gas engine. a DLE20 may fit, looks like the cowl will alow this. i had the 17cc on hand and wanted to try it. It came in at 8pounds 4 ounses auw with a little fuel in tank. it flies fine, it is a floater. not hard to land, shut down power and float in.
