Default Kyosho Flip 3D

Hi,

Can you recommend Brushless Motor, ESC and propellor for this airplane?
I'd like to use the following batteries: TP4200 MHA, 3C 11.1V X 2 in series.

More info on the airplane:

Check out this review. The plane has almost identical dimensions and weight as the kyosho you are looking at. The reviewer tells you the power set-up he is flying in his plane, which should work beautifully in your Flip. If you don't have the flip yet, the Fliton is amazing.

I agree with Common Sense. You will need a 6 cell system to get enough power to the airplane for 3D. remeber that the battery is the important consideration as it determines the maximum power you can get to the motor.

Here is an example; This is assuming an airplane at 96 ounces flying weight

AXI 4130/16
Battery 6 s 4200 mah Li-Poly
Amps 51.3
Prop 16 x 10 APC E
Thrust: 149 ounces
Prop speed 59 mph
thrust to weight ratio: 1.55 to 1

I like to talk about thrust and prop speed instead of watts because this gives you a better real world view of the performance of the model. Watts are a measure of absolute available power but does not give you a feel for how the model will perform. Also, you really have to know the power to the prop as each motor has a different efficiency.

Thanks again for the information.

I realize how quick the electric-powered RC airplanes arena is growing...with some providers like United Hobbies stepping in with incredible prizes for Brushless and Lipos, no wonder. Clean, quiet R/C models are just beginning to rule this world.

By the way the Fliton models are awsome!!! Anybody interested to buy my Flip 3-d???
