PT25 update from PT Gyro
The PT25 development is well under way. The CAD drawings are about finished and we have begun machining the prototype.
The fuselage is 36 inches long. We have designed the fuselage sides in two pieces with an "puzzle" type interlocking key for alignment and strength. We have designed it this way due to limitations in the cutting area of our CNC equipment and to save on shipping costs. Notice in the photo how tight the fit of the "puzzle piece" is.
Here are a few of the PT25 specifications:
CAD designed CNC manufactured.
Designed for 25 to 40 two stroke power or 26 to 52 four stroke power.
It will feature Aerobalsa high performance SG6042 rotor blades with a 2 3/8 inch cord.
The PT25 will have a direct control head for pitch and roll along with rudder control for yaw.
A 15 deg offset “Delta 3” rotor head.
Mainstream radio gear, standard servos, receiver, etc. Metal gear servos will be required.
We hope to begin shipping in February 2005.
