Autogyro Fly-in
The question is:
Why can't a group of gyronuts in the western half of this country join together at some time in some place and have a get together to share ideas and friendship like we did in Morris Illonois this year. We had about twenty five gyronuts show up for a weekend of fun and flying in September that has not been duplicated since we all got together in Muncie Indiana last year and the year before in Muncie at the AMA headquarters.
Maybe you guys have some ideas that can possibly start a Western Gyronut fly-in where people on this side of the country can get together for fun and friendship. I'm here in Montana but few people would want to drive here for a fly-in. Maybe you guys can give some suggestions about where and when a good time can be had by all.
If you are like me, chances are you are an oddball in your club, the only gyronut in the club and the whole state. If this idea to start a Western Gyronut group seems like a good idea, lets hear your Ideas and opinions. If this seems like a bad idea, I suppose we're doomed to be the oddballs with strange flying Machines, the only gyronuts in the club.
Lets hear your thoughts,
Joel

RE: Autogyro Fly-in
Joel,
I hope you get a lot of response to your western Autogyro fly-in.. There seems to be a lot of Cal.& AZ activity in Autogyro's.. Not sure what the answer is. The Morris, IL Gyronuts should have brought more in from the Chicago where I had seen guys flying the A of A gyro's but they were no shows.
Not sure if the Flying Balsa guys and the A of A guys would send a letter to the guys that bought there products about a fly-in in there area or not.
I thought it was nice flying out there in MT. with mountains on both sides.
Hang in the Joel.. Maybe go on RC Groups and the Yahoo site also.
