Direct drive "outrunner" electric prerotator for Autogyros
Hi Gang, Has anyone actually tried using an outrunner or other type electric motor as a rotor bearing/direct-drive prerotator ?? I would like to hear the results of your experiments.....suggestions have been made in RC Groups Auto Gyro forum. This could be a great item for many autogyros...... Hi Jim, I am referring to a direct drive system, where the outrunner/other electric motor is the rotor bearing and prerotator all in one . The idea is to simplify construction, and eliminate any clutch or gear mechanism.....Charlie Anderson
