1937 Kellet 1/5 scale maiden flight video
(2nd) maiden flight of the 1937 Kellett 1/5 scale autogyro from Autogyro Company of Arizona. Uses a Saito 90 for power. Unfortunately, this video doesn't include the takeoff.

Nice video. sure wish I could have seen the take-off. I'm just getting into autogyros (PT15) and t/os are the hardest part so far. Lot's of fun !

My next video will be much better and include more variations on the flight characteristics - low speed, high speed, and takeoffs and landings. The takeoff is the most difficult part. If you lift off before the rotor is up to full speed, you will roll over (due to asymmetric lift). Some wind helps to get the spun up rotor up to speed without having to have a large ground speed.

Hi teryn1
Is this your first Gyrocopter? I am interested in their green profile Gyrocopter. Have you or others tried that one? I have been looking for a flight report on it on this site.
