Think this would power a 10a battery charger?

Why not use an ATX computer PS. There are numerous threads describing how to modify them. Mine cost $20 and has two sets of output jacks. It is rated at 18 amps @ 12 volts.

I have a RS 25 Amp power supply and it works great. I like to tinker with electronics, but wanted a PS I could rely on and have warranty/service available if needed.

It will do 10 amps up to about 16 volts batery voltage. Any more than that and the ps might kick off.

Sure , it will do that at 10 amps. (if it's rated properly)
