I suspect that you are referring to the new Hitec X4, 4 port charger. I picked one up while I was at the Ihobby show in Chicago this fall. I have been playing with it for a few weeks now & I love it. It charges just about everything even at the same time.

I plugged in a 4350 mah three cell lipo, a 1650 NIMH, a 600 mah rx nicad & a one cell lipo for a small heli at the same time. NEAT!

I kind of wish it was both AC & DC, but ya can't have everything.....................

It's also BIG! Real BIG!

Hope this helps......

The optional balance boards are listed in the back of the owners manual for the charger. I emailed Hitec about the optional boards & they replied & said the optional boards will be available soon.

The charger comes with two for TP/FP & those are in stock if more are needed. I needed also the boards for "Electrifly" & those are the "XH" boards that are not out yet. BUT..........I found out that the boards with the cable from my "Triton 2EQ" plug right in & work great. The white plug is slightly different in shape but plug right in to the charger and work fine.

You can get the numbers on Towers site..........

Hitec X4 & click on accessories needed

Triton 2 EQ & click on accessories needed

Sorry I am not smart enough to know the brand of the white plug..............

I don't know if this helps , but the Triton 2 EQ plug is a EH 7 pin connector. Be careful because some of them are reversed.

THe Triron EQ2 plug does not fit the charger....I have the GT Power X Driver 6 charger, which is for all I know the same as the Hitec. Maybe the tap is slightly different. I have a Hitec charger coming soon, so I'll compare.

The Triton2 EQ cable & balance board that plugs into the Triton2 EQ chargers balance slot.......................................PLUGS DIRECTLY INTO THE NEW HITEC X4 CHARGER BALANCE SLOT!

I have both of these chargers side by side on my building table & the cables & balance boards for both. I use both types in the new Hitec X4 & they all work great. They charge & balance like they are supposed to! (Red wire positive towards the left on both cables in the X4 same as the Triton2 EQ)

I also just used the "storage function" on the Hitec X4 using the cables & boards from my Triton2 EQ on five of my many lipos! (Two Flight Power & three Electrifly)

As I stated earlier, the flat white balance connector that plugs into the chargers are slightly different, with the Hitec being a bit thicker, so it won't fit in the Triton2 EQ charger.............BUT again, the Triton2 EQ flat white connector fits directly into the Hitec X4. AND WORKS GREAT!

Maybe I have the only OEM cables on planet earth that work this way & if so I stand corrected..........

This may help identify the name of the hitec one. Many of them do fit each other in various ways. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_91...tm.htm#9116475

The GT Power X Driver 6 charger must have a differnet plug in the charger...the Triton EQ2 charger balance plug will not fit in the side of the X Driver charger....MAYBE with a hammer, but not in a normal fasion . I'll have the actual Hitec charger here isn a next week and will report the differences.

Here is the plug for the X Driver charger....

When charging NiCad and NiMh batteries, does the HiTec charger switch to trickle mode once the batteries have peaked?

The connector is either XH (without a latch) or HP (with a latch) These two may plug into each other.

Hello. I have a question I hope someone can answer. I have a hitec x4 the dc only version and I cannot get this charger to put a storage charge on my LiFe batteries. The manual says it will either charge or discharge automatically to bring the batteries to the proper capacity. However all it does is simply charge for about 5 seconds and then beeps signaling it's complete and displays "end". I am using 2 cell LiFe batteries and the charger is set for 2 cells, 6.6 volts. I am also plugging the batteries into the balance board. Cycling through the menu it says:

LiFe charge
2.1 A 6.6V (2S)

LiFe balance
2.1A 6.6V (2S)

LiFe fast chg
.1 A 6.6V (2S)

LiFe storage
1.0A 6.6V (2S)

LiFe discharge
1.0A 6.6V (2S)

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Les
