Default Low Voltage - A123's

I was discharging a 2 cell 2300mah A123 battery using an old Cirrus charger. It discharged the cells to 5.2V. When I hooked up my CellPro Multi 4, it gave me a Low Voltage Restore message and the low cell was 2.6V. I thought A123's could be safely discharged to 2.0V per cell.

It charged the cells and put 2200 milliamps into the pack.

Is there a chance I did any damage to the pack?

Unless the Cirrus charger does A123, it probably thought it was a 5 cell Ni** battery and discharged it down to what it thought was around 1.1 volts per cell. Don't know why the Multi 4 complained. A123's can be discharged to 2 volts per cell and still have a long life. I don't take mine that far because I would be deadsticking all the time. This is with an electric power pack.

The Cirrus CyclePro doesn't do A123's. I had to set it for a 5 cell NiMH pack, just like you guessed. The manual for the Multi4 says you get the message for 0 - 2.0v for A123's or for .5 - 2.7v for LiPO's.

I did have it set on the A123 setting though.

I'm confused. If as you said your charger does not do A123s, then how could you set it for A123s?

Sorry, should have been more specific in my original post. The CellPro Multi4 charger can charge A123's, but it cannot discharge them. I was using the Cirrus (which has no A123 setting) to discharge only. I would then switch it to my Multi 4 to charge the pack.
