Default himh charging

I have a GT Power A606 Dual Charger and some battery's for my rc18t.

these are nimh

1x ready 1600 series
1x intellect 1400
1x vp racing battery 1600

my problem is that I can charge them for 17hours at 0.1amp and they fully charge but if I try and charge them faster at a higher amp they will not fully charge.

I have tried charging them at 0.5amps and 1.6amps 2amps 3.2amps with a cut off of 1600 and a Delta-peak sensitivity of default also tried 7mv and 10mv for the 1600nimh battery's and they will not fully charge quickly.

so what do i need to do so I can fully charge them in 2hours or less

if all the batteries do the same thing i would right away suspect the charger.

if you don't know anyone with a charger to confirm take the batteries to your lhs.

I would first find out why the charger is shutting off before the pack is full. It may be doing something it's supposed to do. If the pack voltage drops then it does think the pack is full. If the voltage doesn't drop then it shouldn't turn off unless there's another reason.

Could you find out at what capacity they shut off? Many times there's a max timer, max capacity, ect on various chargers that needs adjusted.

Hi!
NiMH cells are notorious to false peak if you fast charge them!
So you should never fast charge them and rely on that they are fully charged! Always charge at 0,1C (100mAh for a 1000mAh pack)!
