Form Charge ?
Hey all, I have a new JR 2700mah 5cell 6v Nimh pack, which I have slow wall wart charged at .20amps. as directed in the directions. It also requires that I charge this pack at this rate for 24hrs., but after 14hrs the battery felt warm so I concluded charging. My question is is the pack full or should I continue charging? TIA

RE: Form Charge ?
If you know it started out discharged and are sure of your numbers then continue for the other 10. If not, it is un-necessary yet will not hurt anything.

Thanks GUVER, yes I'm positive on the numbers, and it is a brand new pack that just came back into stock at Horizon Hobby last week. Also I believe these batteries are shipped discharged, I should put it on the meter before I started. At any rate....I just thru back on charge for another 10hrs since it won't hurt the battery. Thanks again.

RE: Form Charge ?
Hey Steve.
If the battery is warm during charging, then it fully charged. It is no longer accepting any charge and is dissipating the charge via heat. It won't hurt anything. When a battery is warm, it is a good indication that is has charged to full capacity.

Hey thanks ALWAYSPDG, after putting the battery back on charge last night it was warm again within 2 hours. So I again concluded charging, and deduced that the battery is fully charged. Thanks guy's for your great help.
