I am wanting to build my own reciever packs with A123 batteries
but I cant find out the MAH info.

This is the battery i'm looking at purchasing and I need at least a 2200MAH battery.

Thanks for any help with this.

Everything you need to know about the various A123 cells: http://www.a123systems.com/products-...rical-cell.htm

There are even PDF datasheets for their cells. But to answer your question, they are rated as 2.5Ah, but it depends on how you use them. The harder they are run, you get less Ah out of them. Normally, people use them as their main battery packs and so get around 2.3Ah. But since you'll be using them as a receiver pack, you should get closer to the full 2.5Ah.

Default RE: A123 Battery Question

I am no battery expert but I have been using A123 batteries for almost four years. Real A123 battery cells only come in two mah's, 1100 MAH and 2300 MAH. Anything else I would be suspicious of.

Actually, they also have a 4.4Ah cell and a 20Ah prismatic cell. All in that A123 link I posted...

I was going to make my own A123 battery packs to save a bit of cash until I found Radical RC's website. Their 2300mah packs are $36.00. It's very hard to build a pack for that unless you are going for a specific set up, heavier wire, different connections, etc.

I've been using A123 packs from EPBuddy for a while now, great customer service, quality, and the best prices anywhere.

You are right, they just moved up to the top of the A123 battery ordering list.

We have some at our website. They are genuine (a) grade a123 systems cells direct from them. Ours have 14 AWG deans and a 22 AWG universal connections and balance taps. the leads are longer as well..The sub 35.00 packs more than likely grade (b). They work great too and are pretty much the same cell just not made to as of a higher spec as the others.
