Your charger can't discharge fast enough to damage your battery.
That said try discharging at the max.
Discharge down to 1.0V

I would discharge in parallel.
Your charger doesn't have the output to charge them in series in a reasonable length of time.

i charge them in series they are 7 cell packs it dose 1-15.
the charger will put out a max of 5amp when charging.

so you would discharge them down to 1v

think as a rule of thiumb (literally) you should be able to place a finger/thumb on motor for at least 4secs before you have to remove- personally I dont let my motors get anywhere near as hot.

Definitely too hot, you are reducing their life span. I think at worst they should be warm, subjective I know but near too hot to handle is way too hot in my mind

Lipos should really be kept below 140 deg F

120 is a long life span , 150 is a shorter life span. 200+ causes damage with each cycle.

Oh, sorry NI type cells are the same. Maybe a touch hotter is ok. Ten degrees or so.

I would cycle and charge the packs separately. If you have a decent VOM, you could test each cell using push-pins in the alligator clips. Old-skool. [8D]
