Default Help: Duralite switch/regulator unequal drain from two batteries

I have been having a strange problem with a duralite switch/regulator. In a 50cc yak, I have two batteries for the rx/servos connected thru a duralite PowerBoxâ„¢ Electronic Switch. I noticed that one of the two batteries voltage is dropping faster than the other after a 12 minute flight. In the beginning I thought this battery is losing strength. I decided to do a test to make sure the connection or the switch is ok. I switched the connection from the batteries to the switch/regulator by connecting each battery to the other connection. Then, the other battery was losing voltage faster.

So, I concluded there is something wrong with either the connection or the switch/regulator where it draws more current thru one connection than the other connection.

Anyone has any suggestions on how to trouble shoot this problem. Could it be a wire problem, or a corrosion of the wire heads maybe?

Thanks in advance.

do you have a link to the product?

it is not uncommon for one battery to go down quicker than another... age, health, impedance, etc. etc.

I guess I did not explain my question clearly! When I switched the wires, the other battery was going down faster while the first battery was ok! So, any one of the two batteries will lose strength faster if I connect it to the "bad" connection. Now, I am not sure if it is a connection issue or a switch issue.

Thanks for your follow up.

could be wires, connectors, etc etc...

please post a link to the product as I am not aware of nor can I find a dubro switch regulator....
knowing a bit about the product would help troubleshoot it.

Sorry, the regulator seems to be duralite like this one,

or

I bought my plane two years ago used and it included everything, so I never was sure about the brand name. Sorry again.

how different are the voltages?

after a flight, how many mAh do you put back into each battery?

After a 12 minute flight, I put roughly 170 mAh into any battery connected thru the "bad" connection, while I put around 90 mAh into a battery connected thru the "good" connection. These numbers are estimated and based on my memory, but in general I have to put roughly double the amount of mAh into the battery connected thru the "bad" connection.

in terms of voltages, usually the battery connected thru the "bad" connection loses double the amount of voltage than the battery connected thru the "good" connection.

For example, if both batteries had initial voltage of 8.15, then after a 12 minute flight, one would have 8.07 V while the other has 7.95 V

I have a duralite regulator that has two battery inputs. i also noticed that when I have two batteries connected, battery connected to wire 1 drained faster. It leads me to believe that when in use, drain is placed on wire 1 until battery is exhausted, at which point it switches to Battery two. I have not tested to ensure that the switch takes place, however I did remove battery plugged into wire 1 and was able to power model with the battery still plugged in wire 2.
