Default Is it ok to run 14.8 or higher on standard servos?

Hello all,

I have standard servo steering my boat, if I run a 4,5 or 6 cell Lipo will this burn out my servo?

Yes! Also your receiver....6v or so is a common voltage- if electric does your esc have a bec? Having said that most esc do not have a bec over 6cell.

Yes my 150amp ESC has a BEC, also can I run my 3660 , 2070KV motor on 14.8 volts or higher, I am about to buy 2 x Lipos and want to get the best bang for my buck so I am trying to decide between 4S and 5S, 5000 25C lipos, any suggetsion on what would work best, do i need to upgrade the motor? if so what to, I dont want to be the fastest just want to have some fun and get a good run time, it is only the Thunderboat Libero from hobby king.
