When I used mine the last time,my brotheraccidentally wrapped the cord around it then put it away. It must have been to warm still. I was using it and sheshorted out on the top of my stove....yup big flash...the tip was lose and I tightend that breaking the screw head off.....Pete

I have been using an 80 watt soldering iron and am amazed at what it will do. 100 watt now that would be interesting. Its hard to see but is the tip removeable??? I made several different shaped tips for my 80 watt.

my 45 watt craftsman is looking a little worse for the wear.. but I'll be a monkeys uncle if that thing doesn't get hot everytime I plug it in.. .haha thanks
