Ive got one in a heli and I would like to know the voltage at which I should stop flying and a suitable load to put on the battery during the test ,

thanks so much , best regards

and good flying

1.1 volt/cell is a very safe stopping point although if you had to stretch it down to 1 volt/cell it should still be okay. Eneloops are just a type of NiMh cell and the voltage rules are pretty much the same for all NiMh. The big difference between cell brands and capacities involve the internal impedance and self discharge values.

can you recommend a resistor

I think it would be sensible to use a test load slightly greater that what your max current drain whilst in use i.e. all servos moving through full range at full load. Add these figures up, muliply by say 1.3 and that's the test load?

Eneloops are more suited for transmitter use. They are not recommended for flight pack use as they won't handle the loads put on them as well as a non eneloop pack.

AA Eneloop not good enough for a heli flight pack. Too bad they don't make an A or Sub C. I guess the toy market is not big enough. For cycling I use 500 mA charge and discharge. They get warm.

And they don't like to get warm......you can destroy them pretty quickly with heat.....I used them in my transmitter only.
