Default Hobbico LiFe 1300mah battery

I just received this battery last night. I hooked by PowerLab 8 to it to cycle the battery to give it a test. I first charged it at the 1.3A like it says on the battery. Then I tried to discharge it at 1.25A. Voltage dropped so fast the charger stopped the cycle. The battery is advertised to have a 1.3A rated discharge. I finally ended up discharging it at 500ma to get a complete cycle out of the battery. I'm going to try higher rates of discharge but I figured this was a good starting point.

I have tried a friends Hobbico LiFe 1100 battery it is rated at 10c so I tried a 3.25A discharge without any problem.

download and change the extension of the file to .CP8 to view in the cellpro program.

I tried this battery using a spektrum ar7010, Electrodynamics HD switch and a voltmagic (monitor voltage) and DS821 servos.
This battery is not a good match for digital servos. While doing a draw test by working the sticks on the TX the voltage would drop to red on the voltmagic. Just FYI.

Be careful with these. A fellow at a recent event had one go bad during a flight, it was used on the fuel pump for a Moki radial. He got the plane down ok but later he told me that was the third pack that had failed..... Why he would keep trying them on such an expensive set up is beyond me. []

No experience with Hobbico but the less pricey HobbyKing LIFE packs from 700-2100 2S are being used in our club without a problem. However no high powered digital servos in use, just receiver, analogue servos and onboard glow in some cases on a single pack.
