Default 5SLipo Battery Extension and heavy hub for electric

In order for my battery and speed controller to fit right in my Senior conversion, I would like to add a 6 inch extension between the speed controller and battery. I am using a 5 cell, 3500 mah battery which uses 10 gauge wire. Since this is for a Senior I think I can go to a 12 gauge wire with no problems. The second thing is that even with the battery, speed controller, and motor, it is still tail heavy. I would like to put a heavy hub on the motor to help balance it out. Would that be a problem with an electric?

Thanks

Carroll

6" will be fine. Heavy spinner fine too. Would a 2nd receiver battery add redundancy and nose weight?...

6inch extension cause more ripple current in esc capacitors and shorten their life.
Put two 470uf/35v( preferably low ESR type) in parallel with the esc input .( or use ready capacitor banks in the market.)
Heavy spinner will increase the load inertia and for 3d flying(fast throttle response) is not a good idea.put some lead instead.

I'd use weights rather than a "heavy hub".  No point in wearing out motor bearings, and having slow spin up.
