Default Which charger can I use

I'm new to this stuff so I'm sure I'll sound ridiculous but I have an hpi savage xl 5.9 and the controller uses 6 AA batteries, Is there a battery pack I can buy or if I use the Plazma rechargeable batteries what is a good charger to use to recharge those??????

I'm not sure what transmitter you have. Some brands will only let use AA batteries and sometimes rechargeable battery packs for the transmitter are sold as an option. I have a Futaba transmitter that has a tray for 8AA batteries, but that tray can be taken out for a rechargeable battery pack. I use a 3S LiPo pack that plugs into the bottom of the radio with a "j" plug.

To charge any battery, the ever popular iMax B6AC is a great charger and has been re-branded many times over. I use an 80 watt version of the iMax B6AC for the past three years or so. I use the charger to charge Li-Ion/LiPo/LiFe cells, NiMh, NiCd (cordless drill), and Power Wheels batteries (Pb). I even charged my full sized truck battery the other day with the B6AC 80w.

For general use Hobbyking Eco-Six, and iMax B6AC are good choices. I use a iMaxB6AC 80 watt charger that is on my list of recomendations when you're on a low budget. Chargers come in many similar shapes; same specs; same 4 button programing flow, but with different ink printed on them (re-branded).

Most have the internal balancing ports built into the side of charger and some have an external individual cell connector board, like the Thunder AC680. Most chargers can be found/come with "Deans" type; "j" plug connectors, and alligator clips. I had four of the B6AC80, but I sold one because the two that get used daily haven't given me any problems. One is kept for a spare.

Here is a list of some AC chargers out there on the www:
$29 - HobbyKing ECO-SIX (80W)
$37 - iMax B6AC (50W)

$36 - iMax B6AC (80W)
$38 - Dynam Supermate DC6 (50W)
$47 - iMax B6AC (80W)
$49 - Thunder AC6 (50W)
$49 - Hobbyking Eco Touch (90W)
$50 - EcoPower 65AC (50W)
$55 - DTX Onyx 150 (50W)
$57 - Thunder AC680 (80W)
$60 - Sky Charger B6AC (50W)
$80 - Traxxas EZ-Peak Plus
$90 - Dynamite Prophet Sport Duo (100W)
$90 - DTX Onyx 235 (50W)
$99 - Imax B610ACPro (220W)
$115 - EV-Peak D610 (2x 100W)

$120 - DTX Onyx 245 (80W)
$129 - Thunder 0620AC (300W)
$210 - Hitec X4 (200W)

There are many, many more re-branded chargers flooding the market. If you get down to the nitty-gritty, the list would be very long. If you search hard enough, you may find better prices on some the the chargers listed.
