Default Can Fully Charged A123's be stored/not used for extended time

I have several Brand New A123 packs that were fully charged and have not been used for several to many months because of interruptions in finishing and maiden flying the models they were installed in; will these A123 packs be alright or when the time comes to fly these planes will I need to replace the packs first?

Thanks.

They should be fine. A123's don't much seem to care what state of charge they're stored in. To be safe, carry out at least one full discharge/charge cycle before flying them, just to assure yourself that they still have sufficient capacity.

Most A123 batteries I've bought were fully charged when I received them and any literature I've read say they can be stored fully charged.

I get my genuine A123 packs from Steve at hangtimes.com. He recommends to store them fully charged. You should be ok.

I purchased several used A123's about 6 years ago. I cut them out of drill packs. I never got around to using them until just recently. a couple were bad, but most are as good as new

Cool, I got ahead of myself several years ago and bought several A123 packs for a few Warbirds I was putting together; some big plans that never progressed as well as I thought they would, until now; so I'm glad I don't have to replace them.

Thanks Guys for the Info!
