My question is can I use a Lipo battery (say 40c 2200mah 4s, 14.8v or other) with a Hobbico Torqmaster 180, HD 12v starter? I am currently using a 12v lawn tractor battery which will spin a DLE 35RA, G-26 and under. This is fine but it is heavy and just one more thing to load up. If the lipo would work, would I just soldier a dean plug on the starter wire. Is the 40c 4s 14.8v too much for the starter? What would be the best lipo to use?

If anyone is using this setup, a photo of your setup would be great.

I did this with a 11.1 2200mha battery I velcroed it to the side next to the switch works great.

I am using a spare 3300 4s lipo with my torqmaster starter. It works great and will start anything. The battery seems to last a very long time between charges.
