Lipo Charging/Dischrging/Cycling Refresher
Our trucks have been parked for a while for various reasons (life got in the way). However picked up a couple of batteries for my son & I and want to make sure I still remember the right stuff for storing, charging, discharging etc. please let me know if each category is correct (we are using Traxxas 6 amp EZ Peak Plus chargers).
The batteries are of the blue Turnigy variety: 5 cell 5000mAh 30-40C discharge.
Charging
5 amp (1C) balanced
Storage
charger has preset for balanced to 3.7 per cell (18.5)
LVC
set to 3.5
Discharge
charger has preset for 3.0 per cell (15.0)
I plan to use this setting and then recharge (balanced) full a few times to cycle the batteries. The only thing I noticed is that the charger allows for discharging from 0.1 to 2.0 amps. What would be an appropriate rate?
