Default iCharger 4010 up in smoke - again...

Hello Everyone

Today I was charging some lead acid batteries with my iCharger. Not pushing huge currents or high voltages, just charging some backup batteries. I'm using a 24v power supply. Charger was running latest firmware. Anyway I got through a few batteries just fine. Started charging another one, then after about 15 seconds, *poof* smoke was released.

This is somewhat disappointing, because this is the second time this has happened. My original charger lasted less than a year, then replacement lasted less than a year. I'm at a loss, because bought this over-sized charger thinking that I would not have any problems. I purchased the original charger through AMain in June 2014, so It is likely that the charger is out of warranty by now. I will contact Amain on Monday and see what my options are.

I read the entire manual, and I am sure that I have everything connected right, so what is the problem? Did I just get 2 bad chargers in a row?
