Default increasing run time in an rc boat

Hello,

I have a small rc race boat that currently gets about 10min per run on a 7.4v 600mAh battery. i am new to RC and was wondering if i could simply wire in 1 or 2 more battery connectors in parallel with a splitter/Y to effectively create a 7.4v 1200-1800mAh battery for longer run time as i have 4 identical batteries? I'm not worried about the added weight /slower speed. would this work? or is there a reason i should avoid it?

Regards,
RCypher

Yes if the batteries are the exact same and you run them in parallel you will be fine.
